The Britain for Events campaign begins with the high profile support of VisitScotland, London & Partners, Liverpool Convention Bureau and International Confex as well as major event industry associations and the Business Visits & Events Partnership.
The campaign, which has been working in partnership with International Confex as official secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group Inquiry over the spring, will be hosting an official launch alongside the findings of the Inquiry later in the summer.

Britain for Events remains the most inclusive promotional campaign for the UK events industry and last year enjoyed high profile support from Prime Minister David Cameron and is expecting similarly high profile support this year.
On top of its government facing activity the campaign will continue to target businesses and consumers to encourage the positive use of events in business.
“It’s excellent to see such enthusiasm behind this important campaign from major trade associations in membership of the BVEP, and we are particularly thankful to International Confex for its continual support - comments Michael Hirst, campaign spokesperson for Britain for Events -. The campaign’s input into the APPG Inquiry could be a major win for the industry in front of its government audiences”.
The Britain for Events campaign will run throughout 2013, with the primary objective of ensuring the continuing competitiveness of the UK events industry.
