As UK retailers rush to air their Christmas TV spots,  Cadbury this year is doing something a little different, counting down to Christmas with a giant advent calendar consisting of branded delivery trucks.

Each truck has a number from 1 to 24 on its exterior, and each day one truck is departing from the advent calendar.

The tour started in Bournville, Birmingham, where Cadbury was founded.

The trucks will travel to locations throughout the U.K. and Ireland to hand out the company’s treats to consumers. And, of course, people’s reactions are being captured on film when the doors open to reveal the secret contents of the vehicle.

So far, the surprises have included a Christmas grotto made entirely out of chocolate, a  giant mistletoe, a free cinema experience and a huge Christmas tree. The brand also donated purple baubles to decorate the tree, along with its chocolate products.
The integrated campaign was created by agencies such as Golin, Elvis, PHD, Drum and  RPM.
