PCMA’s European Influencers Summit 2018 to galvanise reputation of business events across Europe

The Influencers Summit event will take place from 23-25 September at the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento hotel and will attract a larger audience than last year with up to 200 participants expected to attend the event.

PCMA’s second European Influencers Summit (EIS) will take place in Seville, Spain, this year, the association has announced.

The European Influencers Summit is so named to reflect the seniority of attendees who will attend the two-day event. Its purpose is to create a Europe wide ‘movement’ to galvanise the business events industry towards greater engagement around the importance of business events economically, socially and professionally.

The Influencers Summit event will take place from 23-25 September at the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento hotel and will attract a larger audience than last year with up to 200 participants expected to attend the event.

Designed for senior-level association executives, CEOs, corporate leaders and professionals, the programme will ask participants to embrace disruption and inspire unconventional thinking. It will also focus on the role meetings and events can play as a catalyst for business success and economic prosperity for communities, organisations and individuals alike.

Sherrif Karamat, President and CEO, PCMA, said: “Whilst we are still a relatively new force in Europe, we are delighted to see the positive response to our leadership here. This summit enables our senior European industry peers to meet and share the wealth of their experiences as well as learn and be inspired by the programme on offer.”

Set to open the event is Swedish economist, writer and award-winning public speaker Dr. Kjell A. Nordström, who will urge participants to think differently about solving challenges and exploring untapped opportunities to help them become the leaders of positive change within their organisations. Other opportunities in the programme include looking at how data and analytics can help build brand loyalty and engagement.

In addition this year the EIS scholarship programme supported by the PCMA Education Foundation, will provide complimentary travel, accommodation and event registration for ten carefully selected applicants from across Europe.
